Way of life in Vietnam.

Daily life of Vietnam

I was in Hanoi during my trip in Vietnam in May.

I was in Old Quarter, walking back to the guesthouse, and was amazed with the way they conserve the traditional architecture, which is widely known as "tube architecture", made known from the narrow ground floor planning and high building height.

Conservation of architecture, not only the physical, but also the activities, which they are doing pretty impressive. There are still active of old trades in Old Quarter, Hanoi, smitchy, carpentry, traditional coffee shops, tailoring and others.

It is a street of bamboo industry next to the guesthouse, hadn't started the business when I went out in the early morning. However it was then full of pedestrian, motorcycles along the street during evening time.

I enjoyed the vigor happening over there, which I noticed this static lady sitting in front of her shop in contrary. On the second look, I framing this composition of her husband working hard, while her daughter is playing around her.

Her face is emotionless, looking at the traffic, yet did not really have a focal point. Does it a depiction of the traditional life cycle of Vietnamese? Married at young age, settling down with family, yet, those aren't what they want to pursuit in life.

Maybe not only them, but many of us. But, that's life.
