Kuala Lumpur Heritage Trails

It was a photography competition on 18th Oct 2009, Kuala Lumpur Heritage Trails, and these were some of my favourites of the day. They weren't the perfect composition and complying to the rules of thumb, however they did express my view and opinion towards Kuala Lumpur's Heritage wholely and truly.

I am trying to depict another side of religion. Religion doesn't really need to be that serious, easy, be responsible to whom you are, and adhere to the principles you think is right, that's it.

Wet market at Petaling Stree, the culture of "pasar", long forgotten inside the heart of KL city. What's left are only those who still believe the value of heritage.
I believe in the valur of heritage.

The heritage is lagging behind, and forgotten gradually in the steps of advancment of technology, and change of culture and lifestyle.

What makes up our nation? Nature(tree), Union(DBKL building), and Technology(LRT), with the strong believe of religion and ways of nature(framing of Islamic Architecture's arc).

Reflection on the tinted glass, not the newly built buildings adjacent, however is the pre-war shophouses at the other end. As time goes, things changing and improving, yet, the heritage of culture, thinking and principles shall always lay the path to the highway.
