Making a Living, in Vietnamese Style
Nikon D80 with Nikkor 18-105vr at 35mm; ISO 400, 1/4sec at f/7.1
It was in Hanoi, the first night of our 9 days Vietnam trip, and I noticed this girl was selling ballons in the middle of a busy main road, and got her first and only customer in my ten minutes observation.
I used a slow shutter speed to capture the hustle of the traffic and pedestrian, trying to portrait the toughness of this girl work for her living, in Vietnamese style perhaps.

HDR, First time ever
It was 2 grey days in Cameron Highlands, all my shoots were either blown out in the sky, or underexposed at the ground. Frustrated, I took the chance to try out HDR, hyper dynamic range process.
And here's the results.
And here's the results.
Underexposed, showing details in the sky
Overexposed, showing details of the tea plantation
How amazing it is!!!
Though not really a good HDR due to rush of time, yet I considered this a successful one. :)

Little Girl thinking Big, thinking Deep
Nikon D80 with Nikkor 18-105vr at 105mm; ISO 200, 1/250sec at f/5.6
Having lunch by the beach of Muine, and suddenly noticed this little pretty had been staring out to the sea statically for quite some time.
I captured this shoot, seeing that she was thinking into the present, the future, and the unknown that lies before her.
Little girl, big thinker.
个子小小,理想大大。
望着远方的大海,天空,不知他单纯的心理是不是也在憧憬着未来的彷徨,历练,挫折,精彩,以及人生中的彩色世界?

History, in the Music 音乐旋律中的过去
Nikon D80 with Nikkor 18-105vr at 105mm; ISO 3200, 1/10sec at f/5.6
It was a local musical performance presenting the stories, myths and history of Hue, on a special ferry floating on the Perfume River.
The elder's singing the history of Perfume River and Hue, coupled with surrounding traditional music. Resounded were the glory of Hue, in the background of Perfume River Bridge and modern lighting.
唱着顺化的历史,演变,人文,事物,照在他脸上的是现代香江上的霓虹灯,而浮在脸上的却是对于过去的陶醉,思念及感慨。

Desert Muine
Nikon D80 with Nikkor 18-105vr at 18mm; ISO 400, 1/500sec at f/11
The shimmering dunes in Muine, giving a spectacular sight that rear up from the shore of a lake with the changing shapes, and varied colours over the day, month, year.
It was a surpisingly nice shoot, as I didn't expect the results to be that breath-taking and full of details, in term of the colours, texture, ambient and the overall environment.
I did B&W conversion to accentuate the texture and contrast of the ground and sky, the magnificiant of the desert.
